FIFA 17 is just around the corner and fans are already starting to get a good idea of who the best players on this year's game are going to be.
EA Sports have stoked the fire of anticipation by slowly releasing player ratings from Europe's top five leagues. First, they announced the top 50 players across the game, now the top 20 players from the Premier League, La Liga, Ligue 1 and the Bundesliga have been unveiled.
Unsurprisingly, it is the Spanish league that looks to be the strongest. They have 12 players rated 88 or over and a further four rated 90 or above. That trounces the Premier League, who enjoy just one player with a rating of 90, Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
But one ace the Premier League has over La Liga is the strength in depth they appear to have. Players from seven clubs feature in the Premier League's top 20, which is more than double the three in La Liga.
As you can expect, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid are the three teams who have players in the top 20. It sums up the worrying lack of competition in Spanish football with the three aforementioned clubs almost certain to occupy the top three places in the table come May.
