The WWE has been heavily promoting the upcoming Cruiserweight Division on Raw over the past month or so and it according to PWInsider the initial roster is set to feature 10 wrestlers.

On Monday's Raw it was confirmed that Gran Metallik of Mexico, Akira Tozawa of Japan, and Jack Gallagher of the UK were the latest three wrestlers to be inked to deals.

They will join Cedric Alexander, The Brian Kendrick, Tommaso Ciampa, Johnny Gargano, Rich Swann, Noam Dar, and T.J. Perkins, who had all been previously announced.

If this is the initial roster then the WWE has done a solid job of locking up talent that can bring excitement to Monday Night Raw. The three-hour shows are dragging by the end of the second hour and the different style of the Cruiserweight Division could be exactly what is needed to alleviate that boredom.

The WWE Raw roster also has a couple of superstars that could be added to the division to provide depth and name value to the current audience. The likes of Sin Cara and Neville would excel in this format and Neville, in particular, is lacking a feud currently.

Two names notably missing from this list are Zac Sabre Jr. and Kota Ibushi. Ibushi  has been a breakout star in the Cruiserweight Classic on the WWE Network and the Golden Star is a talent the WWE has a huge interest in signing.

The cruiserweights are expected to start by working Raw TV events along with NXT TV and NXT live events as the division is already over with the vocal crowd at Full Sail University. It makes sense that eventually, the cruiserweights would also graduate to working Raw live events with the rest of the main roster.
