Plenty of rumours have been circulating online over the last few weeks regarding the future of former WWE Diva’s Champion, Paige.
Currently, Paige is sitting through a 30-day suspension from the WWE after an anti-doping violation, which came a day after it was revealed that her real-life boyfriend Alberto Del Rio had also been suspended for 30 days.
WWE officials expected her to stick around for a very long time, especially since she’s still so young and they clearly valued her as a future star, backed up by the fact that she enjoyed so much success in a short space of time.

However, it looks like her desire to leave the WWE could step up a notch now that lawyers are supposedly involved.
CageSideSeats are reporting that she has hired lawyers so that they can help explore her options, and potentially find any loopholes for her to get out of her WWE contract earlier than expected.
It doesn’t come as much of a surprise; Del Rio is expected to leave the WWE once he serves his suspension and it looks like Paige wants to follow him out of the door, with Lucha Underground looking like an attractive option.
ON HER WAY OUT?
Perhaps the process was accelerated ever since it was revealed that the WWE apparently had Mark Carano from talent relations threaten Paige to either break-up with Del Rio and keep her job, or stay with him and be released.
While it seems unlikely that Carano would have said such things, as it’s not exactly legal, the feeling is that words along those lines were shared, and now Paige could potentially use that to her advantage to leave the company.
Now it’s simply a waiting game to see whether Paige does take any action, or whether the WWE allow her to leave at all.
She has a bright future, she is very marketable, she is a big part of Total Divas, and they can still make a lot of money from her. This one may drag out for quite some time.
