NBA 2k17 is tipped to be the biggest and best edition of the famous basketball gaming franchise that we have ever seen. The Prelude was released today and the hours are ticking down until gamers are able to get their hands on the full edition.

Famous actor Michael B. Jordan, who was in blockbuster hit Creed, is already known to play a huge part in the MyCareer story on the new game but another famous face is also in the game, although it's far from what you'd expect.

The links between basketball and football continue to grow every year. A number of soccer's biggest names are avid fans of the game and the likes of Lionel Messi, Didier Drogba and Neymar have been seen at different NBA games over the past year or so.

However, it is former Arsenal, Barcelona and France superstar Thierry Henry who gets the honour of being the first player to be featured in a 2k game - we think.

The retired striker, who is a now a pundit for Sky Sports in the UK, will be a playable character in NBA 2k17's Blacktop mode, where you can play a vast range of different competitions such as 1v1 and 5v5.

On the feature, the 39-year-old said: "Being a basketball and NBA fan since I was a kid, I'm honoured to be the first football player ever to be playable in NBA 2K17.

"Seeing myself go toe to toe with the legends of the sport is an amazing feeling."
