Kell Brook could not stop the WBC, IBF, and IBO middleweight champion, Gennady Golovkin, at the O2 Arena on Saturday night, but he certainly turned some heads with a better-than-expected display.
Brook arguably won the second round of the battle and a slow motion video of a vicious uppercut shows just how much he hurt the Kazakh fighter.
However, that was a rare bright spot in an otherwise Golovkin filled spectacle. Brook tried, but the natural power and footwork of GGG was far too much for the Brit, and so far, 35 other men, as the champion roared to a fifth round stoppage

Only the WBO middleweight title alludes Golovkin and he made his intentions to challenge Billy Joe Saunders for that belt perfectly clear after the bout.
Speaking of the climax of this fight, watch the video below showing Brook's trainer, Dominic Ingle, throwing in the towel after a brutal GGG barrage in the fifth round.
Special K revealed after the fight that he suspected Golovkin had broken his eye socket with a savage shot in the second round and that he had been seeing two or three of his opponent the entire fight.
The undefeated Golovkin said after the fight: "I respect Kell, he’s a warrior, and his corner, for his career, for his family, was correct. It was game over!"
The fight was certainly turning and Brook was just taking shot after shot from the hardest puncher in the sport. With his eye already severely damaged, common sense prevailed.
Even in defeat, it's safe to say that Brook's stock rose tonight and eyes in America will have been impressed with his showing.
As for GGG, now that he has his sights set on the WBO belt, Saunders should be extremely worried.
