The show opened with the Women's six pack elimination challenge between Becky Lynch, Nikki Bella, Natalya, Carmella, Alexa Bliss and Naomi.
The six women were fighting for the right to be named the inaugural Smackdown Live Women's Champion.
It was the Irish Lass Kicker who emerged victorious after getting the other last woman standing Carmella in the disarmer.
Lynch delivered a heartfelt speech following her victory showing her delight and finally climbing the mountain.
The second title to be established tonight was the Smackdown Live Tag Team championships as Heath Slater and Rhyno looked to pull off an unlikely story.
First there was the clash between the Hype Bros and the newly turned heel Usos in which the Samoan duo came out on top.
Slater and Rhyno then teamed up to defeat the Usos and not only become the Smackdown Live tag team champions, but also earn Slater a Smackdown contract.
The fans were behind the make shift duo the entire way as the popular Slater finally became exclusive to one show after being the only man not to be drafted.
