Smackdown crowned it's first ever women's and tag team champions tonight and it sent the fans into complete meltdown.

Styles defeated Dean Ambrose for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship while Lynch came through a six pack elimination challenge to be crowned the inaugural Smackdown Women' champion.
The results of tonight saw several big names who were previously of the independent circuit reach the top of their respective mountains.
While some fans were left underwhelmed by th event, many chose to focus on the current state of the WWE right now and gave it high praise.
With Styles as the WWE Champion, Kevin Owens as the RAW Universal Champion and Shinsuke Nakamura as the NXT champion, the independent circuit is well represented within WWE right now.
Lynch herself is a product of NXT and quite famously trained alongside RAW superstar Finn Balor from the very early age of 15.
Balor himself was crowned as the RAW Universal Champion at SummerSlam - another big step for the independent circuit on the worldwide stage.
Lynch also earned high praise from her fellow professionals following her win tonight.
There is no doubt that Backlash has left the fans feeling elated with the current state of WWE and it doesn't seem to be ending soon.
With Nakamura on top in NXT and the likes of Bobby Roode, Austin Aries and Samoa Joe all set to take over the main roster one day, surely the best days are still to coem for the WWE Universe.
