WWE have released a statement confirming that Vince McMahon has suffered an injury whilst training and will require surgery.
The WWE chairman is still very active in his training, and still works out on a regular basis despite now being 71-years-old, and although he's requiring surgery, he will be back at WWE Headquarters as soon as Wednesday this week.
WWE made the announcement late last night on their official website, where they confirmed that the chairman sustained the injury and that he will be undergoing surgery.

"The Chairman will be back in the office at WWE Headquarters on Wednesday, as usual."
Vince McMahon still plays a big part in the WWE and is still very hands on behind the curtain, despite the company having the likes of Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, and Shane McMahon all active.
The chairman was last seen on TV a week before the official WWE Draft, which is when he announced that Shane will be running SmackDown LIVE as the commissioner, and that Stephanie will be in charge of Raw.
As of writing this article, there has been no update regarding the details of the injury, but as mentioned in the statement, he is expected to return to WWE Headquarters later in the week.
After WWE released the statement regarding McMahon, Twitter users were quick to react to the news, with some of them being more humerous than others.
Here are a select few.
It's been a busy few weeks for WWE with SummerSlam being held at the end of last month, and Backlash and Clash of Champions being held this month for their respective brands.
