Football fans were given the chance to play FIFA 17 for the first time today after EA Sports released the game's demo.

September 29 is when the final version will be released but until then, gamers will at least be able to experience some of the many improvements made.

What's most interesting about the FIFA 17 demo are the ratings given to those who feature.

Manchester United, Chelsea and Real Madrid are amongst those available for use but, following a summer that saw Manchester City spend £150 million on summer signings, it's their ratings that are of particular interest.

Here's how Pep Guardiola's side rank (you can read a full breakdown of their statistics here).

21. KELECHI IHEANACHO (74)

The only silver card in City's squad, Kelechi Iheanacho is perhaps unlucky to not be given at least a 75 considering how Marcus Rashford is rated 76.

20. FABIAN DELPH (78)

Eighty-two dribbling is Fabian Delph's highest statistic on his FIFA 17 card, which says a lot about his ability as a defensive midfielder.

19. JOHN STONES (78)

Following an excellent season for Everton, John Stones has been rewarded with an upgraded 78-rated card to mark his big-money move to City.

18. FERNANDO (79)

Nothing much to report on Fernando's statistics, which are pretty average and top out at 82 physical.

17. ALEXSANDR KOLAROV (79)

Much like teammate Iheanacho, Alexsander Kolarov should have been rated higher, especially considering Gael Clichy was given 80.

16. LEROY SANE (79)

Leroy Sane is one of Europe's highest-rated young players and deserves his 79 rating and 91 pace, which will frighten defences on the game.

15. GAEL CLICHY (80)

It's Clichy's 83 pace that will attract FIFA players most but the jury is out on whether he deserves his 80 rating.

14. JESUS NAVAS (80)

Jesus Navas' plight at City is evidenced by the fact his rating has decreased by one to 80. Even his pace has fallen, now 88 from last year's 89.

13. FERNANDINHO (81)

An 81 rating is perhaps a bit low for Fernandinho, who has performed so consistently for City in recent seasons.

12. BACARY SAGNA (82)

Bacary Sagna, who was rated 80 on FIFA 16, has been handed quite a big boost by EA yet his defence has decreased by one to 82. Strange.

11. PABLO ZABALETA (82)

City have excellent strength in depth at right-back and Pablo Zabaleta's 82 rating proves that, although he perhaps deserves to be higher than Sagna.

10. RAHEEM STERLING (82)

Raheem Sterling will be disappointed with 82 but if he carries on performing how he has this season, a rating nearer 84 could be in the offing when EA release their winter update.

9. NOLITO (83)

Fourteen million for Noltio has proved a shrewd piece of business for Guardiola and he fully deserves his 83 rating.

8. YAYA TOURE (84)

Down one from FIFA 16, Yaya Toure's plummet at City has clearly affected his rating - now 84 - on the latest instalment.

7. CLAUDIO BRAVO (85)

Claudio Bravo was excellent for Barcelona last season but, if he's to justify his 85 rating, he'll need to improve upon his disastrous debut for City during last Saturday's Manchester derby.

6. NICOLAS OTAMENDI (85)

Seventy-two pace, 85 defending and 82 physical tells you all you need to know about how beastly Nicolas Otamendi is on FIFA 17.

5. ILKAY GUNDOGAN (85)

City's third 85-rated player has yet to make his debut but, if he can flaunt his 84 passing and 87 dribbling at the Etihad, Ilkay Gundogan will prove money well spent.

4. VINCENT KOMPANY (86)

It's been a nightmare year for Vincent Kompany because of injury, but on his day, the Belgian is every bit an 86-rated centre-back.

3. DAVID SILVA (87)

There's an argument to be made that David Silva should be rated at least 88 on FIFA 17 considering just how brilliant he has been for City in recent seasons. Eighty-seven is an insult.

2. KEVIN DE BRUYNE (88)

Now we're talking. Kevin De Bruyne's statistics are mightily impressive and feature 83 shooting, 86 passing and 84 dribbling. A must have in your Ultimate Team.

1. SERGIO AGUERO (89)

City's number one-rated FIFA player is none other than Sergio Aguero, who boasts 89 pace, 88 shooting and 89 dribbling. Wow.
