In some places of England today, it was the hottest September day since 1911.
However, it seems that isn’t the case in Manchester.
Instead, they were treated to an almighty downpour which has subsequently seen the Champions League clash between Manchester City and Borussia Monchengladbach.
City fans would have been no doubt looking forward to their opening Champions League fixture of the season, especially as they reached the semi-final last season.
But, unfortunately, they won’t be able to start their Champions League campaign tonight due to the atrocious weather conditions.
Take a look at the videos below to see why:
Referee Bjorn Kuipers was seen testing the pitch before the match, with the ball hardly rolling - something that would have caused Claudio Bravo numerous problems trying to play short passes to his defenders.
It’s unknown when the match will be rescheduled but Guardiola and his players would have been desperate to play following their Manchester derby victory at the weekend.
