The ink on his contract is barely dry and Arsenal fans have already started to turn on their new summer signing Shkodran Mustafi.
The German World Cup winner arrived at the Emirates Stadium the day before Transfer Deadline Day in a deal worth £35million, making him one of Arsenal's most expensive signings ever, only behind his compatriot Mesut Ozil.
Mustafi was one of four new faces arriving in north London this summer, following in the footsteps of Lucas Perez, Rob Holding, and Granit Xhaka.

Edinson Cavani was guilty of missing several glorious chances, whilst David Ospina put in one of his best displays in an Arsenal shirt.
However, after the game, Arsenal fans were quick to comment on Mustafi and his debut performance for them in Europe.

As you can see, Mustafi was quickly compared to defensive flops Pascal Cygan and Igors Stepanovs, with another one saying he wasn't worth £35, yet alone £35m.
One thing is for sure, it can only get better for the German international at Arsenal.
