Winning a gold medal is a pretty special feeling, but with the Olympics fading into the distance and the new NBA season approaching, Team USA's players have quickly switched their attentions back to the day job.
Kevin Durant has continued his busy summer as he prepares for life with the Golden State Warriors but took some time away on Monday night, returning to his home city of Washington D.C. to celebrate his achievements in Rio de Janeiro with the crowd at the Redskins' NFL week one game with the Pittsburg Steelers.
His new teammate Draymond Green played alongside him in Brazil, and speaking on the talk show Conan, the forward said the national team - who have kept their group chat going since their time together - were roasting KD about still wearing his medal.
"Well KD had his on at the Monday Night Football game last night," Green said.
"And we still have our group chat, and we all talked about him like, 'Dude, give it a break.' Go put it up somewhere. What are you doing? Everybody knows you won it, KD. Give it a break."
Durant hasn't experienced winning much silverware and will be gunning for an NBA title to be part of his collection this time next year.
