The main thing fans look forward to the most when Brock Lesnar makes his return to the WWE is which star will be trying his luck to conquer The Beast.

Ever since he ended the streak at WrestleMania XXX, Lesnar has steamrolled through every opponent standing in front of him. The latest one being a bloodied Randy Orton at SummerSlam when the match ended in a TKO.

CALLING OUT THE ROCK

Current rumours suggest that Lesnar’s next match will take place in January at the Royal Rumble, and the Universal Championship could potentially be on the line.

However, speaking to SunSport this week, Lesnar’s advocate Paul Heyman has tried to whet the appetites of fans that want to see The Rock make his return to the ring.

While the rumours continue to circulate regarding the return of Goldberg, Heyman and Lesnar wasted no time in calling out The Great One, claiming that he’s scared.

Heyman said: “Notice how The Rock picks fights with Bray Wyatt, or fights with Rusev and John Cena?

“Notice how The Rock doesn’t pick a fight with Brock Lesnar? Is Brock Lesnar ready for The Rock? Is The Rock ready for Brock?”

It’s a rematch almost 15 years in the making, after Lesnar dethroned The Rock at SummerSlam 2002, to become the then-youngest World Champion of all-time.

While Lesnar went on to achieve more greatness in the WWE, before going on to dominate in the UFC, The Rock went on to take over Hollywood and is now the highest-paid actor in the world.

BIGGEST REMATCH OF ALL TIME?

When asked whether The Rock’s status as the biggest Hollywood star on the planet would help make their potential rematch the biggest of all-time, he didn’t take too kindly to it.

He said: “I find it insulting that you would say that in front of Brock. I think Brock Lesnar against anyone is an automatic sell-out.

“Brock does not wrestle 52 Monday’s a year on Monday Night Raw, he does not come to your hometown every week; his appearances are rare.

“They are unique and extraordinary. Which is why, whenever Brock Lesnar appears it is a rare and unique opportunity for the paying customer to see the greatest living athlete in the history of WWE appear live in an extraordinary event that only Brock Lesnar can deliver on.

“This is why he is the greatest box office attraction.”

Let’s wait and see whether The Rock bites and can offer some more insight if he’s any closer to giving us the rematch we all want to see.
