Cam Newton is his own man, that cannot be denied.

The Carolina Panthers star put on a show against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday and managed to turn heads off the field as well.

That is after Newton, who is no stranger to dressing somewhat interestingly - to say the very least - took to his post-game press conference in one of the most ludicrous hats that the sporting world has ever witnessed.

The Carolina Panthers social media team were the first to tweet out the picture of Newton in the silly hat. That was a good choice.

Wearing that hat was a great move by Newton because it gave the good people of Twitter so much ammunition.

Newton had the last laugh, though, with the 2015 NFL MVP leading the Panthers to an incredibly impressive 46-27 Week 2 victory over the San Francisco 49ers.

We will have to wait and see how far the Panthers can go this season and just what else Cam has in store for us outfit-wise.
