Monday Night Raw closed with Seth Rollins making the save for his former Shield brethren Roman Reigns after Kevin Owens and Rusev had locked The Guy inside a steel cage.
To think that Rollins would save Reigns was inconceivable only a few short months ago.
However, after both men were prevented from winning the WWE Universal title courtesy of Triple H a few weeks ago, it would seem that the former tag team champions are both babyfaces for the first time since 2014.

If you have ever been to TV taping for Raw, you will know that the show doesn't stop when the cameras stop rolling.
The WWE normally try and send the fans home happy by having the faces beat up on the heels to close the show in a dark main event or run-in.
In the video below, there is a subtle, but noteworthy interaction between Reigns and Rollins as they fended off attacks from Owens and Rusev.
Owens, the current WWE Universal champion, attempted to deliver the pop-up powerbomb on Rollins before The Architect of the Shield reversed the move into a pedigree.
Rusev then tried his luck with Rollins and got a kick to the head for his efforts. Reigns delivered a spear to close out the confrontation, before he and Rollins came face to face again in a tense square off.
Rollins would exit the ring without any sort of violence, and the WWE appear to be planting the seeds that he and Reigns could team once more.
Rumours have been circulating that the WWE hopes to reunite The Shield at either the Survivor Series or the Royal Rumble, so this could be the first stages of that development.
The fans would love a Shield reunion, but what would you rather see: Reigns and Rollins feuding or teaming?
