Klay Thompson and James Harden are two of the best shooting guards in the NBA right now. Despite being completely different players, the duo are compared on a regular basis.
Playing in the same conference, and coming up against each other in the playoffs two years on the bounce, the guards are very familiar with one another.
Thompson and the Golden State Warriors are by far the better team but, in terms of individual brilliance, there is an argument the Houston Rockets man has the edge - on offence at least.
That is certainly the view of his former teammate Jason Terry. The veteran guard spent two years with Harden in Houston and believes there is no comparison to be made between the two players.
He said: "[Thompson's] not leading s***. If he doesn't make shots, how effective is he? Go watch Klay Thompson vs. James Harden from last year and see what [LeBron] James did to him.
"Every time James got by him, you know who was there? Draymond Green or Andrew Bogut. ... I'm not a Klay Thompson hater. It's just when you put him up against James Harden, there's no comparison."
Thompson certainly has come on leaps and bounds in recent seasons and has developed into one of the best two-way guards in the league, but Harden has his own qualities and is a lethal attacking threat at any given moment.
