Goldberg returning to a WWE ring has been teased for months now, especially given the fact he's involved with the 2k17 game, but his return won't be happening this Sunday at Clash of Champions.
It's been heavily reported in recent weeks that the former World Heavyweight Champion will make a surprise appearance at the Monday Night Raw pay-per-view, but that has now been rubbished by the man himself.
Goldberg was doing an interview with the Submission Radio podcast, and he confirmed that it's purely coincidental that he was scheduled to be in the same place as WWE on Sunday evening.

The former superstar then went on to state that there is no deal in place between himself of the WWE, ending all speculation about him possibly appearing at Clash of Champions.
Goldberg was scheduled to take part in a podcast with Eric Bischoff on Sunday evening in Indianapolis, where Clash of Champions is being held, but that has since been cancelled as the deal fell through.
Even if the podcast was still going to happen, Goldberg was adamant that it was purely coincidental that he was in the same place as the live event.
Despite confirming he won't be at Clash of Champions this Sunday, Goldberg has confirmed that he is still open to working with WWE again.
His departure from the company was very well documented, as was his fallout with the officials, but he has confirmed that all problems are now water under the bridge.
Goldberg also confirmed that he hasn't heard from anyone in WWE yet, but admitted that that could change anytime soon.
