It's been a confusing few weeks for Randy Orton.
Since taking his beating at SummerSlam against Brock Lesnar last month, it's not been 100% clear whether he's officially cleared to compete or not.
Orton was mauled at the end of his match with Lesnar, leading him to getting several staples in his head and also giving him pretty bad concussion.

Because of the ending, Orton was then pulled from WWE Backlash, despite being advertised as facing Bray Wyatt.
During the SmackDown LIVE pay-per-view, they did a backstage segment of Orton being attacked by Wyatt, which then lead to the match being cancelled.
However, Orton delivered an RKO to Wyatt that night, which raised eyebrows given the fact that if he's suffering from concussion, he shouldn't be doing any contact work.
Since then, the Viper has competed on SmackDown LIVE, defeating Erick Rowan, and according to NoDQ, Orton's recent work has made Vince McMahon take note.
No DQ are reporting that Vince is very high on Orton right now.
It's claimed that Vince himself came up with the SummerSlam ending of having Lesnar dismantle Orton, and because of how well the latter took the beating, it's left Vince impressed.
Many WWE superstars would have complained about a spot like that, but because Orton didn't, Vince is very high on the veteran.
Due to wanting to protect both superstars, Vince didn't want anyone being pinned, and that's why the match ended how it did.
Despite Vince being high on Orton, he is not expected to be in the WWE World Championship title picture in the next few months. This is because it's already pretty crowded for the foreseeable future.
