Many expected a close affair at the Emirates this weekend and if anything, Antonio Conte’s Chelsea were the favourites. However, Arsenal have made a prominent statement of intent with what has ultimately proved a comfortable win.
Alexis Sanchez paved the way for the drubbing with a superb one-on-one finish after Gary Cahill’s suicidal back pass. Theo Walcott added a second soon after when he arrived at the back post to tap in from Hector Bellerin’s cross.

Aside from getting his name on the scoresheet, Walcott was also attracting attention in essentially giving Branislav Ivanovic nightmares. Supporters, who usually have mixed feelings over the winger, have produced the following comments:
Lastly, the workhorse that is Bellerin has been lapping up the praise with an assist and superb tackle on Pedro capping his showing. Here are the pick of the tweets regarding the Spaniard:
It’s clear to see that Gunners are pretty chuffed their emphatic win. Then again, with such a large amount of impressive performances, who would blame them?
