At Survivor Series in 2012, three NXT superstars made their debuts on the main roster, interfering in the main event which consisted of CM Punk, John Cena, and Ryback.
It was a triple threat match for the WWE Championship, and in the end, it was CM Punk that picked up the win and retained his title after pinning Cena.
However, it will mainly be remembered for the debut of Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns, and Seth Rollins, later known as, The Shield.

The trio powerbombed Ryback through an announcers table, which allowed Punk to defeat Cena in the ring.
Throughout their career as a stable, The Shield battled the likes of; The Wyatt Family, The Undertaker, Evolution, and many, many more, as they caused havoc throughout the main roster seeking justice.
However, the stable would eventually come to an end when Rollins turned on his brothers, smacking them both with steel chairs and joining The Authority, alongside Triple H and Randy Orton.
Fast forward a couple of years and all three of them have been World Champions, and all three of them are considered main event players.
In recent weeks, one third of The Shield has been speaking about the infamous stable and has discussed the possibility of a reunion.
Reigns, who is the new US Champion following his win over Rusev at Clash of Champions, recently spoke with Inquirer about the stable, and he was asked about whether or not he misses the stable.
He responded: “I think those guys have a deep love and respect for what The Shield did for us and what it represents.
“For me, there are times I miss it, the six-man matches we were having, the tag team matches, it seemed like we were doing it every night with the new cast on the other side, but it’s really good every single time.
"For me, that’s a good place to learn and grow and push myself to be ready for the spot I’m in right now.
"As The Shield, we felt like we dominated the main event and we’re still doing that. We’re very proud of that.
"I would never say never. I think we’re all very happy with where we’re at. It’s going to take something drastic, something huge in the WWE to bring The Shield back. I think nothing’s impossible in the WWE. As we always say, stay tuned.”
It's safe to say, the majority of the WWE Universe would no doubt love to see the three hounds back together again, even if it was a one-off.
