Conor McGregor stole the show at the press conference.

Conor McGregor shuts down Jeremy Stephens in press conference

Published Add your comment

It should come as no surprise to hear that Conor McGregor was the star attraction at a recent UFC press conference.

With UFC 205 just around the corner, press conferences are underway and the first one took place last night, with McGregor and Eddie Alvarez headlining ahead of their champion vs champion fight at Madison Square Garden.

However, The Notorious One's most memorable jibe wasn't actually aimed at his American opponent for November, it was actually aimed at another UFC fighter who is on the card for the Pay-Per-View.

Despite making the exact prediction of how the fight will end between himself and Alvarez, his best moment came when he asked 'who the f*** is that guy?', to a fellow fighter.

A reporter in the audience asked McGregor who he thinks will give him the best fight out of everyone on the stage during the press conference.

Jeremy ‘Lil Heathen’ Stephens was quick to respond to the reporter's question by saying he would be the biggest test for McGregor.

Stephens said he would be the man to take the Featherweight title off The Notorious One.

“Right here! The hardest-hitting 145-pounder. The real hardest-hitting 145er, right here!” he declared.

This guy TKO’s people. When I knock people out they don’t f*****g move.”

You can see the footage in the video below.

Despite being confident about his own ability and declaring he could beat McGregor, the Irishman himself didn't seem so convinced and even questioned who the fighter even was.

McGregor replied: “Who the f**k is that guy?”

It's safe to say those in the audience appreciated McGregor's put-down, as they burst into a fit of laughter after his comment.

Not sure Stephens would have enjoyed the moment, however.
