Conor McGregor’s return to the UFC is still awaiting to be confirmed, with fans having to remain patient with no news about his first bout in over a year after breaking his leg in his last outing.

Despite not being an active fighter during his recovery and subsequent training, he still continued to make headlines, showing us all just how big Notorious is to the combat sport world, but when will he finally return?

Well given the nature of his injury, he was left out of the drug testing pool so he could take the medication to help him through his injury. However, that now means that he’ll have to enter the pool once again, which requires six months of clean tests, so we could be waiting a while to see him again.

KSI calls out Conor McGregor

Content creator KSI has been enjoying a fruitful spell in the Boxtuber scene and has set his sights on a future bout with Notorious. The Irishman was the last professional fight for Floyd Mayweather, so he certainly has experience with the best fighters in the world.

He claimed: “After I flatline Jake, how cool would it be to have a go at the king? With me, I believe in myself so much that I feel like I could take on anyone - within reason, I don't wanna take on [Artur] Beterbiev or Anthony Yarde. But you never know. That would be nuts."

KSI also loved to point out how he got an interaction on social media from Notorious, admitting: “I was gassed, I was like 'oh, rah, Conor tweeted at me?' Jake has been on Conor's a*** but Conor's said nothing. I mentioned Conor once and he fired back, I was like 'I've got the sauce like that!'"

KSI’s next fight

JJ will return to the boxing ring this weekend when he takes on FaZe Temperrr. The YouTuber has had to step in at short notice as KSI’s original opponent, Dillon Danis pulled out of the fight for a number of reasons, including his lack of proper training.

He then wants to take on his long-standing rival Jake Paul. Both men want the fight, so it will likely happen sometime in 2023, allowing the pair to finally settle their feud once and for all in what will surely be a captivating bout.

Could we genuinely see KSI fight Conor McGregor? That would be another huge scalp for the Boxtuber events.
