The WWE Universe were left shocked when Triple H returned to Monday Night Raw and helped Kevin Owens win the Universal Championship.
The vacated title was up for grabs in a fatal 4-way match the following night after SummerSlam due to Finn Balor relinquishing the belt.
The Demon King suffered a shoulder injury against Seth Rollins and had to give up the title, giving Owens the chance to win it, which he did after pinning Rollins.

Of course, there was a major assist from Triple H, who hit both Roman Reigns and Rollins with a pedigree, and the new champ has now revealed that the WWE Universe weren't the only ones shocked by the turn of events.
After Big Cass was eliminated, controversy struck as Triple H made his way to the ring through the crowd, before delivering a pedigree on Reigns outside the ring.
He threw the former Shield member into the ring, allowing Rollins to pick up the easy elimination.
The Game didn't end there, however, as he then delivered another pedigree, this time on Rollins, allowing Owens to pick up the shock victory.
Owens was recently a guest on "Off The Top Rope" segment on ESPN SportsCenter with Jonathan Coachman, and he's revealed that the locker room was just as shocked with the ending to the fatal 4-way match.
When asked by Coachman about the reaction backstage to his win, Owens admitted that it left a lot of people in disbelief. He then continued by stating a couple of people couldn't believe Triple H was back, before saying others couldn't believe how quickly he won the title.
Owens had been with WWE two years and four days before him winning the Universal Championship.
