Hideo Itami only returned to NXT back in August after a lengthy absence due to injury, but it seems the former Japanese superstar is back to being the risk taker he has become known as after a video has emerged of a scary looking bump from last night's NXT Live event.

The live event took place in Fargo, Florida and it saw Hideo Itami team up with NXT Champion Shinsuke Nakamura to take on the team of Tino Sabatelli  and Riddick Moss.

The match was the main event on a night that saw Elias Samson return after a suffering a broken leg during an NXT match.

The former IWGP Champion was on the sidelines in WWE for over a year after suffering a shoulder injury and being forced to undergo surgery. There were then complications with his healing time and he was sidelined for much longer than expected.

Hideo has only been back on WWE TV for a number of weeks, so a bump like this would definitely not be something that Japanese star would want to be taking after missing so much action over the past year.

Hideo Itami can't afford to become injured right now since it's been announced that he will team up with Kota Ibushi during WWE's annual Tag Team Classic that is taking place right now.

Ibushi lit up the Cruiserweight Classic and many fans were disappointed that he didn't win the competition. This could be the most exciting team to enter the competition in its short history and it has the NXT Universe anticipating their tag team matches.

As far as the bump goes, WWE haven't announced any lasting injuries and Itami managed to continue the match despite it looking quite scary. It seems it was just a lucky botch that Itami can luckily move past.
