Life without Kevin Durant has begun in Spain for the Oklahoma City Thunder as they took part in the NBA's Global Games vs Real Madrid and FC Barcelona Lassa.

They suffered a loss in the opening encounter with Madrid but ended their time in Europe with a victory over Barcelona on Wednesday night.

Enes Kanter led the way with 24 points at the Palau Sant Jordi, but the focus all night was on superstar point guard Russell Westbrook.

The five-time All-Star finished the night with 12 points and five assists in his 21 minutes of action - struggling from the field as he shot 2-7 but was a strong 80 percent from the free throw line.

However, the highlight of the night came in the way of a Slam Dunk Contest-worthy jam as he attacked the rim with the force and aggression we have become accustomed to throughout the years.

With the first quarter winding down, Westbrook was handed the ball in his own half before through the heart and Barcelona's defence and finishing with a vicious dunk that brought the entire arena, including the OKC bench to its feet.

It's a sight you can expect to see more of throughout the year, and we can all agree that it is something we look forward to.
