Jesse Lingard has posted this rather embarrassing video on his Instagram showing him making a real hash of a golf shot.
The Manchester United winger is seen lining up a drive at a virtual screen but the outcome was certainly not ideal as he let go of the club, which went flying into the screen.
We all know golf is a challenging sport and Jesse certainly showed that excelling at one sport does not guarantee your prowess at another. The European Ryder Cup team will not be calling him anytime soon.
The 23-year-old's reaction to the mishap is almost as funny as the act itself as he gasps and holds his face in shock, probably best for him to stay clear of the golf equipment in the future!
The youngster received his second England call-up this week as Gareth Southgate named his first squad as manager, and Lingard will be hoping to earn his first cap in one of the upcoming qualifiers against Malta and Slovenia on Saturday and Tuesday respectively.
Video: Lingard's amusing attempt at golf
The pacey, energetic winger has had a fine start to the season under Jose Mourinho and will be looking to continue the impact he has had for his club, on the international stage at Wembley on Saturday.
Lingard's performance at urban golf will not likely put him at the front of the queue as a partner on team golf days in the future and he will be hoping his England debut, if it comes this week ahead, will see him fair a little better than his golfing debut did.
