The Usos sat down for an interview with Michael Cole on WWE.com this week and among many topics, they were asked if their recent heel turn was inspired by the negative reactions their cousin Roman Reigns has been getting.
The Usos have become a much darker and interesting iteration of themselves in recent weeks after years of bright face paint, haka dancing and toothy smiles.
They will challenge Heath Slater and Rhyno for the SmackDown Live tag team titles this Sunday at No Mercy, and many believe their new intriguing characters are primed to take the gold.

Still, what inspired their new change in direction? Cole, a commentator on Monday Night Raw, asked them if the boos towards Reigns motivated them at all.
"You see what happened. Every Monday, man, you see it. You hear them. You hear the WWE Universe. Boo. 'Usos finally help their cousin out one time?' Boo.
"Now guess what, man? You can boo us, you can like us, but we all about that pride. I guarantee you, anyone of them who had family in trouble, they would help them."
It seems that, finally, the WWE are acknowledging the fan that Reigns is unpopular with the fans, but will it lead to anything significant for his character?
It was reported a few days ago that the WWE nixed plans to execute a double turn involving Seth Rollins and Reigns, even though Rollins has still converted to a babyface.
If the Usos are insinuating they are now heels by mere association, then what does that mean for Reigns moving forward?
