It's been an interesting 2016 for Daniel Bryan.
He was forced to retire early from in-ring competition due to a series of concussion problems, which then saw him become general manager for SmackDown LIVE in the aftermath of the brand split.
Away from WWE, he has just announced that his wife, and former women's superstar Brie Bella, are expecting their first child together, something they have been wanting to do since he retired from wrestling.

However, on a recent episode of the Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast, Brie admitted that the couple have been arguing a lot lately, with the majority of the arguments being based around his desire to return to wrestling.
Bryan has made his feelings very clear that he would love to wrestle again, and he is consistently being checked out by doctors in and out of WWE in the hope that someone will clear him to compete again.
The former WWE Champion insists that he is feeling fine again and physically fit to compete, but Brie is against him putting his body at more danger, especially now that a child is entering the equation.
When asked about their personal life together, Brie admitted that arguments arise between the two whenever wrestling comes up in conversation.
She said: “It’s so frustrating. I feel like it’s our biggest argument in our marriage.
"Of course he would love to, but we don’t get to choose our health unfortunately. He’s 35, so it happened out of nowhere, but unfortunately it’s just that you don’t get to choose and what happens to our bodies, but we get to choose the next 20 years of our life or the next 50 years, which we are lucky that WWE have good doctors and that they care, and I’m like, Bryan, the minute we have a baby and you hold that baby it’s all going to be over.”
Well, for Brie and Bryan, that minute is now because they are expecting their first child together, and that is where WWE legend Shawn Michaels' advice comes into play for Byran.
On the same podcast, Brie revealed the advice that HBK gave Bryan, and she stated that he would start to have different feelings about wrestling once he has his first child.
She continued: “Shawn Michaels told him that.
"He’s like, you don’t care about your body and everything that happens to it, until you have a child and he’s like, wrestling becomes way down here because wrestling takes over your whole life”
