Michael Bisping makes the first defence of his UFC middleweight championship tonight against long-time rival, Dan Henderson at the Manchester Arena.
Around 5,000 fans were in attendance at Manchester Central to watch their hometown hero hit the scales last night for the weigh-ins and the final face-to-face confrontation with the man that knocked him out back at UFC 100 in 2009.
This isn’t just his first defence, but it’s an opportunity for revenge after Bisping suffered that infamous, devastating knockout from Henderson’s vicious ‘H-Bomb’.

Hendo has already reiterated that this is his final fight, and The Count aims to send the future Hall of Famer into retirement on home soil.
As you can see in the video from the MMAFighting Twitter account, Bisping was in a confident yet intense mood when he hit the scales to pump up the Manchester crowd, opposite a calm-looking Henderson.
Following the face-off, Bisping snatched the microphone from UFC commentator Mike Goldberg, to address his loyal supporters.
He said: “What’s up Manchester? Who wants to see Hendo get knocked the f out?
“Guys, this is the pinnacle of my career, it doesn’t get any better than this. I’m the champion. I’m defending it in Manchester.”
The champion was then interrupted by a heckler in the audience which caught his attention, and it didn’t seem like a good idea when he was surrounding by fans of Bisping, in Manchester nonetheless.
Bisping shot him down by saying: “Someone shut this d***head up over here.
“Mate, you’re going down, pal. F*** you! F*** Henderson! Manchester, let’s f****** do this!”
Let’s wait and see whether this intensity can translate inside of the Octagon, and Bisping walks out with the gold still wrapped around his waist in Henderson’s final fight.
