Gegard Mousasi produced a brutal stoppage to beat Vitor Belfort in the co-main event at UFC 204 in Manchester on Saturday night.

Mousasi, who improved to 40-6-2 with the win, scored the TKO victory with 2:43 gone in the second round after a vicious head kick that rocked Belfort before pouncing on his Brazilian opponent and hammering him with hard punches to the side of the head.

The referee intervened and handed the legendary fighter his second straight and 13th overall loss in the UFC as the crowd erupted into voice at the Manchester Arena.

"He's a legend, it's an honor fighting him, he's a nice guy and a great athlete," the 31-year-old Dutchman said of Belfort.

"He's very good with his left kick but I can do the same...He can do it, and I thought I can do it, too."

Post fight rant

Mousasi's fighting wasn't the only thing that made the headlines though as he went on an explosive rant in the post fight press conference in which he took stabs at the rankings, drug testing and more.

On the drugs testing issue Mousasi commented: "USADA is good for me. I will be champion with USADA. Thank you."

He even touched on UFC Middleweight champion Michael Bisping, who defended his title by beating Dan Henderson for a second time, saying: "I think I'm underrated throughout my whole career. I don't know, maybe (because) I'm from Holland and people don't care. I don't know. Maybe throw some bottles on someone's head and people going to notice me.

"I fight Michael Bisping with his performance tonight, I like Michael Bisping, but you guys know I can beat him. I would beat Michael Bisping. I would jab his face the whole night. Easy."

He then moved on to Conor McGregor: "McGregor's good for the sport but what is it. You had Muhammad Ali, he was a hero, he was besides a great boxer, he did a lot, he did big things. Now you have (Floyd) Mayweather and Conor McGregor — 'I have money, I have money' — and everybody loves it. That sells.

"People are stupid. What can I say? They don't know who's a real fighter or not. They just like to see expensive stuff on Instagram probably."
