The worst kept secret of WWE has finally come out. Goldberg is returning and is likely to have a match with Brock Lesnar.

Of course, the majority of the WWE Universe already knew this was the case, but for those of you that didn't know, this week's Monday Night Raw all-but confirmed it.

Paul Heyman issued a challenge to Goldberg on behalf of his client, and the former superstar responded by taking to Twitter and announcing he will respond next week on Raw.

Although there has been some speculation that the match might not go ahead at Survivor Series as originally planned, it's certainly going to happen at some point down the line.

Which raises the question, what sort of contract is Goldberg on with WWE?

Well, according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, WWE put together a deal for Goldberg over the past few weeks and got it finalised and agreed to just over a week ago.

At this current time, WWE are just eyeing this one match for Goldberg, but if the reception to it is positive, and he manages to put on a good bout with Lesnar, those plans could certainly change.

Despite the ongoing positive in the media and the public eye, it's believed there are still small issues between Goldberg and the WWE, issues that haven't gone away from their major fallout years ago.

Yes, the relationship between the two parties is a lot better, but it's still not perfect, and that could be an ongoing issue with future plans.

So as of yet, Goldberg's deal with the WWE is a short one, but that could all change depending on the match he has with Lesnar.
