In the summer of 2010, every franchise in the NBA was looking for a way to sign Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and LeBron James.
Unfortunately for most of them, it just wasn't a realistic prospect. However, the Miami Heat came up trumps and convinced the trio to team up in the Sunshine State. They went on to win two titles during their four years together before LeBron returned to Cleveland.
Having recently ended his 13-year spell with Miami, joining his hometown franchise the Chicago Bulls, Wade has admitted he and James were interested in a move to Chi-Town before the Heat made the 'big three' a possibility.
CSN Chicago reporter Vincent Goodwill chronicled Wade's press conference where the shooting guard admitted that it may have been a different story had Luol Deng joined the L.A. Clippers that summer.
The three-time champion also said that 'his eyes' and LeBron's were both on the Illinois franchise before Miami 'put a monkey wrench in the plan'.
The history of basketball could have looked so different had the duo ended up in Chicago, but the regular All-Star dismissed ideas they had planned to join the same organisation when signing their contract extensions in 2006.
