Leicester lost just three Premier League matches on their way to achieving the 5000/1 feat of winning the league last season.
Now, following a 3-0 thrashing against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge this afternoon, the Foxes have already lost four games in their opening eight matches this campaign.
In truth, no-one expected them to retain their Premier League trophy.
However, with just two wins on the board at the moment, it seems Claudio Ranieri’s men are going to be closer to a relegation battle than a title challenge this year.
Following the 3-0 loss to Chelsea, it means they have now been soundly beaten by three of the so-called 'bigger' clubs already after losing 4-1 to both Liverpool and Manchester United.
It must be tough for Leicester fans to have been brought back down to earth with a bump following last season’s heroics, but one fan is trying to see the funny side of it.
That man is one of Leicester’s most famous fans - Gary Lineker.
He took to Twitter following their latest defeat to post a very sarcastic tweet about Leicester’s form.
He said: “It's going to be really difficult for Leicester to retain their title from here.”
Of course, the Match of the Day presenter was joking - he knew that Leicester stood very little chance of doing that at the start of the season.
However, that didn’t stop many people replying thinking he had been serious.
But that wasn’t his only tweet of the day. Lineker was posting on social media throughout the match with a series of serious and less-serious messages.
But it’s not all doom and gloom for Leicester. After all, they are in the Champions League and top their group with two wins out of two.
