During the New Day’s incredible second reign as WWE Tag Team Champions, there have only been a couple of occasions where it looked as if they were genuinely going to drop the gold.
Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows of The Club were destined for big things when they arrived, and being drafted to Monday Night Raw, it was expected that they’d become the champions to make them look like the serious threat they were over in Japan.
They had chance after chance, but nothing came to fruition and we’re left wandering what’s next for them.

The other team that fans thought would cause Big E, Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston some problems are Enzo Amore and Big Cass.
There was so much hype behind them once they were brought up to the main roster from NXT, but opportunities for them have been limited compared to others, and obviously one of the big reasons for this is that they’re a face team, just like The New Day.
On the surface, it looks as if there aren’t any huge, upcoming plans for Enzo and Big Cass.
They’re not involved in any big feuds, despite receiving big pops from the audience in whichever segment they’re placed in.
REALEST GUYS IN THE ROOM
Hope is not lost, though. RingSideNews.com are reporting that the company still has big plans for Enzo and Big Cass, although we shouldn’t expect to see them do anything of massive relevance in the coming months.
The WWE are planning to rejuvenate their push closer to WrestleMania season, so it could start as early as after the Royal Rumble, where Big Cass could show off his dominance.
The idea is to challenge the WWE Tag Team Champions in Orlando next year, even if it’s not the New Day holding the titles by then.
This is similar to what’s going on at SmackDown LIVE.
American Alpha were destined for big things, but the WWE are choosing to stretch out their journey’s to get the fans behind them, rather than hand them the ultimate reward right away.
It looks like WrestleMania could be a big night for the NXT alumni, with Enzo, Big Cass and American Alpha all involved in their respective title pictures.
