It's fair to say Manchester United virtually broke the bank this summer with a view to becoming title contenders once again.
Jose Mourinho may as well have been handed a blank cheque book, such was the freedom with which he was allowed to spend - Eric Bailly, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, and Paul Pogba all arriving in big money deals.
Of course, of the three, Pogba's was the transfer that received the most attention after United splashed out £89million in a world record bid to bring him in from Juventus.

As anyone who's watched United this season will know, the Frenchman still needs a little time to adapt to being back at Old Trafford, and the same could be said of Mkhitaryan.
However, one player who has taken English football by storm is Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who came in on a free transfer following his release from Paris Saint-Germain.
The Swedish superstar may not have had the biggest impact on the club's balance books, but he's definitely made his presence known on the pitch with four goals in seven Premier League games.
And what's perhaps most important is that he didn't cost the club a penny, other than for his wages.
It's for that reason that former Red Devils midfielder Owen Hargreaves has hailed him as United's best signing, telling BT Sport:
"The (best) signing by far has been Ibrahimovic.
Value for money
"To get a player of that quality - how many goals has he got, four or five in the Premier League? - I wouldn't like to know where Man United would be without Ibrahimovic.
"For me, in terms of value - I know his wages are high - but to get him on a free is special."
United fans may have little time for Hargreaves' opinions since he swapped the red jersey for the blue of Manchester City before retiring altogether, but it has to be said he makes a fair point about Ibra.
Mourinho will now be hoping his other summer buys can start to make a similar impact, starting with his side's huge trip to Liverpool on Monday night.
