We have seen some interesting things so far this NFL season, with crazy plays, odd interviews, and weird refereeing calls aplenty through the first six weeks of the campaign.
But now we have truly found the zenith of weird in the NFL this year and it is all thanks to the Arizona Cardinals and Patrick Peterson, who grabbed all of the attention during warmups ahead of Monday Night Football.
Peterson warmed up for the Cardinals game against the Jets last night in a dinosaur costume and it was absolutely amazing. Scroll down to see a video of the All-Pro cornerback in the hilarious outfit.
This is truly one of the best things we have seen all season. Everyone knows those oversized T-Rex costumes are hilarious and it works especially well when being worn by someone on an NFL field going through full warmups.
The big question remains, why the hell is Peterson wearing the costume? Well, we think we have the answer.
If you watched the Amazon Prime series 'All or Nothing', which followed the Cardinals all the way through last season, you will have seen that the Arizona quarterbacks and Peterson participate in a weekly game where they all have to throw a football into a bucket from distance. The loser has to dress up in a way of the winner's choosing.
That is how we have ended up with this glorious piece of footage...
Peterson is a five-time Pro Bowler and three-time First Team All-Pro corner, who is considered by many to be one of the best in the game. It's great to see that he is still so down to earth and able to take what he's given.
Cardinals players, please do not stop this glorious new tradition. It is incredible.
