Right now is not a good time to be Ryan Fitzpatrick - or anyone associated with the 1-5 New York Jets for that matter.
Fitzpatrick famously held out most of the summer trying to force the Jets to hand him a big deal - eventually getting a on year deal.
So far, New York have paid relatively highly for a quarterback that leads the league in interceptions and has a current QB ratings of just 55.9.

Fitzpatrick has been the starter for New York all the way through their current four game losing streak and Monday night's loss to the Arizona Cardinals could have been the tipping point for head coach Todd Bowles.
Bowles benched Fitzpatrick in the fourth quarter and brought back up Geno Smith in to replace him before re-assuring fans that Fitzpatrick remains their starter.

That could all be set to change now though with Bowles retracting his statements and trying to play them off.
"First of all, after the game, it's always going to be status quo because I'm never going to tell the media anything before I meet with my coaches and my GM and the rest of the staff." - Bowles explains his post- game comments
First of all dismissing that fact that he himself named Fitzpatrick their starter is interesting, but then he really dropped some big hints to the future in New York.
Claiming that it is also "definitely possible" that we could see Bryce Petty or Christian Hackenberg before the end of the season.
It looks like Smith could be on line for a start against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday - a tough test to start with.
