Barcelona made a real statement of intent against Manchester City at the Camp Nou on Wednesday evening.

The fixture saw visiting manager Pep Guardiola return to his old stomping ground in charge of a team that has marked itself as the early favourite for the Premier League title.

But the club with whom the 45-year-old amassed a stunning haul of 14 major trophies during his tenure proved to be a class above their English counterparts.

Both sides ended the clash with ten men as Barcelona steamrolled City 4-0 thanks to a Lionel Messi hat-trick on his return from injury and a late strike from Neymar.

However, in a match featuring action aplenty, two moments of individual brilliance may well have gone unnoticed if not for footage captured by eagle-eyed football fans on social media.

Andres Iniesta is unquestionably one of the most skilful players on the planet, and while most would single out ball distribution as his greatest asset, he is still capable of embarrassing defenders with some neat footwork, too.

While under pressure from two City defenders, the 32-year-old midfielder pulled off an audacious flick near the touchline to find Lucas Digne as he ventured forward from left-back.

Check out his nifty footwork in the video below.

The situation in which Iniesta found himself required him to think outside the box in order to play his way out of trouble, as is often the case with his colleague Neymar.

The Brazilian, on the other hand, produced his own bit of cheeky skill on the left flank – even though it probably was not entirely necessary.

Watch the clip below to see him control a 40-yard cross-field pass in a way that only Neymar could get away with.

Call it showboating, call it arrogant; moments like this serve as a reminder of why Neymar is adored by fans across the globe.
