Ric Flair worried for Goldberg.

Ric Flair believes Goldberg vs Brock Lesnar is a bad idea

Published Add your comment

The idea of seeing Brock Lesnar vs Goldberg for a second time has got the whole WWE Universe buzzing, well, everyone except The Nature Boy Ric Flair it seems.

The two-time Hall of Famer is not a fan of the idea and has been very critical of the plans in a recent edition of The Ric Flair Show.

With Lesnar finishing his feud with Randy Orton, and the rumours of Goldberg returning to the squared circle, it didn't take long for the two monsters to be put together.

After Goldberg admitted he'd like to face Lesnar again on ESPN Sports Center, the ball really started to roll, and that led to Paul Heyman issuing a formal challenge on behalf of his client the following week on Monday Night Raw.

This past week, Goldberg made his long-awaited return to WWE TV on Raw and accepted Heyman's challenge, warning Lesnar he's next, and also last.

So the two are likely to square off, and it looks like it could happen as soon as next month at Survivor Series, but one man that isn't impressed is Flair.

On a recent edition of The Ric Flair Show, The Nature Boy touched upon Goldberg's return and the fact he will have a match against The Beast, and he's not convinced he is ready for that kind of brutality.

Flair believes Goldberg's body won't be able to take suplex, after suplex, after suplex, and doesn't believe the match is a good idea.

The 2016 ESPYS - Red Carpet

He said: "The t-shirt and it's all over everywhere, he sells that t-shirt, Suplex City.

"Whoever is going to work with Brock Lesnar, whether he [has] gotten smarter, he's not going to change his style and he's going to get suplexed, not just once, not twice, but at least 10 times and I don't know if Bill's ready for that.

"You're off for a couple of months, much less 10 years, you're going to get in the ring and you're going to wrestle Brock Lesnar the first time around? Ha! Good luck with that! That's just the way it is.

The Longest Yard Film Premiere

"His body is not used to it and Brock is a whole different can than spearing Ric Flair, okay? Correct? I mean, I just don't think Bill is going to be physically up for that, myself. I mean, it might look good on paper, but, God, because Brock is 10 times more aggressive now than he was the last time he wrestled Bill."

So the WWE Universe may want to see the match, but it seems like Flair is not convinced.
