Five-time World Cup winners Brazil will host Argentina in the next international break as both countries aim to qualify for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

The Brazilians currently top the South American qualification group on 21 points, whilst the Argentine side find themselves struggling in fifth after failing to win any of their last three games against Venezuela, Peru and Paraguay.

Ahead of the huge clash on November 11, Brazil boss Tite has revealed who he believes are the world's three best footballers, but he also explained that one of them is a cut above the other two.

According to the 55-year-old coach, Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and his own team's main man Neymar are the best players in the world at the moment.

However, he feels that the 29-year-old Argentinian possesses a "special quality" which makes him better than both Real Madrid's all-time top goalscorer and his Barcelona teammate.

"They (Messi, Ronaldo and Neymar) are the top three," Tite stated. "This is nothing new, they're the top three that have been chosen for the Ballon d'Or before.

"They are different generations - Messi and Ronaldo are more or less the same in terms of their timeline, being 29 and 31 years old. Neymar is a player who is on the rise, who is evolving."

Messi the best in the world

He continued: "But today, Messi, for me, is the best. He has this special quality that brings something new to the game, and for us it's a challenge to be able to go up against him for all the virtues and qualities that he has."

The timing of the revelation is slightly surprising, given the fact that Brazil's next opponents are Messi's Argentina, however you can't argue with Tite based on current form.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner inspired Barca to victory over Manchester City in midweek by scoring his 37th career hat-trick in what was his first start for the Catalans since a 1-1 draw with Atletico Madrid on September 21.

Despite his injury problems this season, Messi has registered 12 goals from just 10 appearances and he's been named in the starting line-up alongside Neymar and Luis Suarez for Saturday's trip to Valencia.
