Valencia v Barcelona was marred by the unsavoury incidents that took place during the final minute of the match.
A section of the home supporters at Mestalla reacted to Lionel Messi’s dramatic winning penalty, converted in the 94th minute, by throwing bottles at the Barça players as they celebrated.
Neymar and Luis Suarez both appeared to be hit and fell to the ground in pain, prompting the furious Messi to scream insults at those responsible.

The Valencia fans might argue that they were antagonised by a couple of the Barcelona players, who celebrated in front of them.
Messi, however, wasn’t one of those who attempted to rub it into the Los Che supporters’ faces - until Neymar and Suarez hit the deck.

Messi' X-rated insult towards Valencia fans
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner was outraged by the incident and, according to the Mirror, screamed a rather X-rated insult towards the home fans.
“The c*** of your mother,” Messi is alleged to have shouted, “son of a thousand w*****!”

Luis Enrique's reaction
Barcelona’s head coach Luis Enrique was also visibly angered by the incident, but refused to comment during his post-match press conference.
“I’m not here to evaluate what can be done [about bottle throwing],” he told reporters. “We celebrated a goal like you have to celebrate a goal against an opponent who made it so difficult for you.”
Barcelona secure precious three points
Barcelona took the lead midway through the first half thanks to Messi, but found themselves 2-1 down on the hour-mark after Munir and Roridgo both scored inside four second-half minutes.
Luis Suarez then levelled the scores in the 62nd minute - after earlier missing a gilt-edged opportunity following a magnificent Neymar pass - before Messi kept his cool to convert from the spot deep into stoppage time.
Enrique’s men climb to the top of La Liga, although Atletico and Real Madrid can go back above the reigning Spanish champions when they face Sevilla and Athletic Club later on Sunday.
