It’s been a reasonably decent start, on the whole, for Jose Mourinho at Manchester United.
He managed to sign some world-class players in the summer - most notably Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic - while the entertainment levels have undoubtedly increased at Old Trafford since the revered Portuguese coach replaced Louis van Gaal in the summer.
Yes, there have been a few dull games - including last week’s snorefest against Liverpool at Anfield - but United fans still have confidence that Mourinho will bring back the good times.
Mourinho has managed to steer clear of controversy, too, although according to a new ‘exclusive’ obtained by The Sun this weekend, one particular incident has infuriated the 53-year-old.
It’s understood that someone inside Old Trafford has been leaking Mourinho’s teamsheets before matches - sometimes the night before Premier League games.
Mourinho 'spitting feathers' after being 'betrayed'
The Sun on Sunday were alerted to the ‘mole’, they claim, by a United fan who has apparently been received text messages detailing Mourinho’s starting line-ups before every game this season.
The newspaper have been a shown one of the messages, featuring the Red Devils’ starting line-up, which was sent hours before the Europa League clash against Zorya Luhansk back on September 29.
“Mourinho is spitting feathers after discovering he’s being betrayed by someone within the club,” a source told The Sun.
“This sort of information is gold dust for opposition managers and gamblers.”
Something similar happened at Chelsea...
Mourinho also had a problem with a ‘mole’ at Chelsea, shortly before he was sacked by Roman Abramovich last December.
After Porto discovered that Cesc Fabregas had been dropped before a Champions League clash against the Blues, Mourinho was left convinced that someone inside the dressing room was leaking team line-ups to the press.
