Normally we have to wait until the Royal Rumble pay-per-view is in the books before the WWE starts to introduce the Hall of Fame inductees.
This year, we had the likes of Sting, The Godfather and The Fabulous Freebirds inducted, and it looks like the WWE are already dropping hints as to who we should expect to see on the podium the night before WrestleMania 33 in Orlando next year.
The first seems quite obvious, as the WWE have done something similar in the past.

Sting and the Ultimate Warrior were heavily featured in the promotion of previous WWE video games, and this year the game is centred around Bill Goldberg, despite Brock Lesnar gracing the front cover.
It makes complete sense; he has unfinished business in the organisation after leaving 12 years ago when he defeated Lesnar at WrestleMania XX.
With the two set to clash at Survivor Series, which could be one of – if not his final – match as a wrestler, it would be a great send-off to his illustrious career, to take home a Hall of Fame ring.
He already mentioned to WrestlingInc.com during the WWE 2K17 launch party that being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame would be a huge honour for him, so it seems that he could be a lock as a first-ballot legend to be brought in.
MICKIE JAMES & DDP
Following in the footsteps of Jacqueline, Alundra Blayze and Lita, the WWE could be inducting another former WWE Women’s Champion to add to an already-illustrious group of female talent.
It was revealed that Trish Stratus was pencilled in to take on Asuka for the NXT Women’s Championship at NXT TakeOver: Toronto. However, her pregnancy changed those plans, and a replacement has already been announced.
Mickie James will be making her return and is actually expected to compete in numerous events, not just a one-off match on NXT, and The Inquisitr are reporting that she will be the female inductee in 2017 to conclude her run.
Finally, the WWE are rumoured to be looking at another WCW legend in Diamond Dallas Page.
Page is set to have a DVD released around that time, and it’ll be a great way to promote that and showcase how DDP was one of the biggest faces in the rival company, despite the likes of Goldberg and the nWo taking most of the headlines.
He too has had an illustrious career with multiple championships, and has been highly praised for turning the lives of Jake Roberts and Scott Hall around, so it’s about time the WWE honoured him for his work inside and outside of the ring.
