Tonight will be a special occasion for sports fans in the city of Cleveland that will live long in the memory.

Along with the Cavaliers receiving their championship rings and putting up the banner at the Quicken Loans Arena tonight, Major League Baseball outfit the Cleveland Indians will be taking on the Chicago Cubs in game one of the World Series just next door.

It's a great time to be alive if you're a sports fan in Northeast Ohio and thanks to LeBron James, there's a special treat in store that will make the night even better.

In a recent interview, King James came up with an idea that could make Tuesday even better for the people of Cleveland

"It’s going to be great. From the fans’ perspective, is there any better way? I don’t know, maybe having an ice cream truck outside both arenas at the same time as well? Icing on the cake," he said.

Being the biggest superstar in the city has its perks, because what LeBron wants, LeBron gets.

His suggestion was heard loud and clear by ice cream brand Blue Bunny who have decided to place trucks outside the home of the two teams and provide free ice creams to fans.

It seems the King can simply do no wrong in his hometown at the moment after delivering on his promise of bringing the Cavs their first championship.

After the festivities, though, there is actually the small matter of an NBA game to be played as the New York Knicks come to town in the hope of spoiling the party in the season opener.

New York Knicks v Cleveland Cavaliers

They did the same thing in LeBron's first game back in Cleveland in 2014 where they silenced the home crowd with a shock win. Don't be surprised if they take advantage of the occasion once again.
