It's only a few days since the Ballon d'Or nominations were announced.

The 30-man shortlist for the best player in the world is always bound to get people talking about the finest talents in the global game, and it's been no different this year.

It's going to be a major shock if Cristiano Ronaldo doesn't walk away with that prize having won both Euro 2016 and the Champions League this year, the ultimate indication that the Portuguese is all about substance over style - or maybe a bit of both.

4- Eden Hazard

Now that Chelsea's Belgian star is back to his best, it's easy to see why he's been singled out here.

3 - Cristiano Ronaldo

Ronaldo is admittedly not on his best run of form right now, but he was always going to be on a list like this. It has to be said, though, it's a big surprise that he's beaten Messi onto it.

2 - Neymar

Neymar and Ronaldo were more of a joint-second, but Barcelona's star man has been putting in some nifty skills in La Liga this season.

1 - Ronaldinho
