Nacho scores goal of the season contender for Real Madrid

There was no Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale or Karim Benzema, but Real Madrid still hammered third tier Cultural Leonesa 7-1 in the Copa del Rey this evening.

Marco Asensio and Alvaro Morata both helped themselves to two goals each, while the scoring was opened in the sixth minute by a Gianni Zuiverloon own goal.

However, the best goal of the night came from an unlikely source: defender Nacho.

The 26-year-old scored a contender for Goal of the Season at the Estadio Municipal Reino de León.

The ball was crossed to the edge of the penalty area and Nacho, channeling his inner Hugo Sanchez, produced a truly magnificent scissor kick which flew past Leonesa goalkeeper Jorge Palatsi. (Scroll down to watch the video).

This is the third time in their last four matches that Los Blancos have scored five goals or more, following their 6-1 victory over Real Betis and a 5-1 thrashing of Legia Warsaw.
