Zlatan Ibrahimovic initially looked like he’d be a tremendous signing for Manchester United.
The veteran Swedish striker, who the Red Devils snapped up on a free transfer following his departure from Paris Saint-Germain at the end of last season, scored five goals in his first five appearances for the English giants.
Jose Mourinho, delighted by the experienced forward’s impact at Old Trafford, told reporters back in August that he had “no doubt” Ibrahimovic would still be a Man Utd player beyond the end of this season.
Since the first Manchester derby of the season back on September 10, however, Zlatan has scored just one goal in nine matches (against Zorya in the Europa League).
And it’s not just his lack of goals that is concerning United fans; it’s his lacklustre performances, decision making and profligacy.
Carragher blasted Zlatan's display v City
Ibrahimovic was woeful during the first half of Wednesday night’s Manchester derby, prompting Sky Sports’ Jamie Carragher to tell viewers: “I don’t think Zlatan Ibrahimovic has probably had a worse 45 minutes than that in his career.
“He’s getting wound up by them [City].
“Jose Mourinho has been getting a lot of stick in the last few weeks, the manager always does, but we’re talking about a fella last season who got 50 goals [last season].”
Video emerges of Zlatan's worst moments
And now a video on Twitter has gone viral on social media featuring some of Zlatan’s worst moments since he signed for United.
It shows him missing a host of sitters, hitting some free-kicks into Row Z and it ends with him swapping shirts and smiling with Chelsea players following last weekend’s 4-0 drubbing at Stamford Bridge.
