It's fair to say the Brock Osweiler Era at the Houston Texans hasn't got off to the best start.
Over the period of seven games so far, the 25-year-old quarterback has only completed 58.2 percent of his passes for 1,533 yards, eight touchdowns, and eight interceptions, leaving the team with a 4-3 record.
He is 30th in the NFL in passer rating, 29th in completion percentage, and 32nd in yards per attempt. These aren't exactly a statistic lines that reflects his $72 million contract, which he signed last March.

Texans head coach Bill O'Brien has stated he hasn't considered benching the former Denver Broncos player, which isn't surprising considering how much they have invested into him, but some fans have already had enough.
One fan has even decided to set up a GoFundMe page to attempt to pay-out the quarterback's $72 million contract. Going by the username Ali A-g, he says: “I am a die hard Texans fan and we need to get rid of Brock Osweiler or we’re not going anywhere. He is a waste of 72 million and for a dollar a day we can get him out and make Deandre Hopkins happy.”
As of the writing of this article, donations have reached only $205, but you can check out the page yourself here to see how far away the Texans fan is away from his goal. However, there's a good reason not to donate any money to this cause.
Under Osweiler's contract, he is guaranteed at least $37 million, and this also stops the team from letting him go between now and 2018. Breaking this would be breaking the CBA agreement the NFL has had in place since 2011.
The 25-year-old deserves another couple of weeks to prove himself before the Texans decide to bench him for an alternative. They'll be hoping his play improves so that they don't have to find someone else for 2017 otherwise one certain fan will be getting his wish.
