It's very rare that you can say Paul Heyman had a bad night on the microphone, but this past week on Monday Night Raw, it was easily one of his worst displays ever in WWE.
Although the majority of it wasn't his fault, it was the crowd's reaction to Brock Lesnar and Goldberg which made things tricky, Heyman still couldn't turn the reaction around and was left struggling in the ring alongside his client.
In fact, the segment was so bad, Vince McMahon decided to cut it short by playing Lesnar's music a lot earlier than originally planned.

McMahon was watching backstage, and according to numerous reports, he blew a gasket whilst watching the segment, with the audience simply not buying into the fact Lesnar is the heel in the feud.
Of course, having the show in a town where Lesnar is loved was a schoolboy error right from the start, but the fact Heyman couldn't turn it around, proves how tough a job it really was.
So what was actually planned for the full segment?
Well, according to Ringside News, had the segment gone on until the finish, Heyman would have officially announced Lesnar vs Goldberg for Survivor Series next month.
However, due to McMahon cutting it short, WWE eventually announced the match on their official Twitter account the following day.
All in all, it was a very forgettable night for WWE and especially for Heyman, who has since admitted it was a bad night on his behalf.
We can only hope that the next few weeks have better promos and segments to ensure the match gets the buildup it truly deserves.
