There have been numerous conflicting reports regarding The Undertaker’s status in the WWE over the last couple of weeks.
As we head towards the Royal Rumble pay-per-view in January, fans always start to question whether The Deadman will be healthy enough to return and compete at WrestleMania.
Earlier this month, The Phenom was pictured using crutches, and it was reported that he didn’t look in great shape. However, it was revealed that he was only using them as he was recovering from hip surgery.

This week, though, he was spotted sporting his Deadman gear when he surprised Kevin Love and the Cleveland Cavaliers with a WWE Championship belt, looking as healthy as ever.
Forbes are now claiming that their sources are suggesting the WWE fully expects The Undertaker to compete at WrestleMania 33, so it looks as if he’s given Vince McMahon the go-ahead to pick out potential opponents for him.
There have already been a handful of names that have been thrown around, but with the latest positive update surrounding his return, they can perhaps be taken a little more seriously than before.
Goldberg is seen as the frontrunner, especially as he’s almost guaranteed to be inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2017. It would be a great way to send him off into retirement, on a high note rather than what happened at WrestleMania XX with Brock Lesnar.
Sting is also holding off on neck surgery in the hope of securing a final, highly-anticipated dream match with The Undertaker, while Kevin Owens has also been discussed if he drops the Universal Championship before then.
John Cena also looks to be one of the frontrunners, now that he’s becoming a part-time star it seems more likely that the company will want to have this match at WrestleMania before it’s too late.
This is definitely something to keep an eye out in the coming months, let’s hope The Undertaker can stay healthy and give the fans another amazing spectacle at WrestleMania 33.
